How it works
How do guests contribute?
We will provide you with an Honeymoon Gift Contribution Information Sheet that you can personalise and send out with your invites to your guest list. Guests will be provided with your travel consultants email address and contact number. For their convenience they can post a cheque or arrange a bank transfer, then simply email your consultant with the details of their contribution and include a personal message. Please note: contributions are only accepted by cheque or bank transfer.
You may contact your consultant at Hello Africa Travel at any time to see how much has been contributed towards your honeymoon.
Guests will be able to buy gift contributions until the gift list closing date that you have specified. We will accumulate the amount that has been contributed by your guests.
Please note: As your final balance for your honeymoon is usually due 8 - 9 weeks prior to departure, this usually does not coincide with the closing of the gift list, therefore payment in full will have to be arranged and paid by yourself 8 - 9 weeks prior to departure. In this case we will continue to accept contributions until the gift list has closed, thereafter we will arrange for a bank transfer for the total amount to be transferred into your account. All bookings made directly with Hello Africa Travel will be protected by ATOL, otherwise all additional activities and extras that are booked by your own arrangements are for your own responsibility.
What happens next?
Once the gift list is closed, a summary of all of your guests’ contributions and their details will be forwarded to you. To prevent confusion, no monies held in a gift list account can be withdrawn until the list has been closed and finalised.
How much does this cost you?
A small one-off administration fee will be charged for this service. Around £10 - £40, depending on the number of guests, this is to cover the costs of general bank, postage and administration costs.
