Experience the thrill of a horse safari - The Best 4 x 4 by Far! Surrounded by a multitude of Africa’s flora and fauna, come and explore this breathtaking terrain from horseback, in the company of your experienced African equine host who has extensive knowledge and experience of the bush.

Nights on the riding safari are spent in wilderness camps set up within the Mashatu Game Reserve. Rides are conducted between these wilderness camps. Horses
The horses have been individually chosen for their temperament and rideability and have substantial experience within the game reserve.  These horses have been specifically selected from some of the numerous South African breeds of horses that are recognised for being well adapted to extreme African conditions and harsh terrain.  Among the breeds represented in our group of horses are the Boerperd, Basuto, Anglos and S.A. Warmbloods.  They range in size from 14 h.h. to 16.2 h.h.

Accommodation
Fort Jameson
Limpopo Valley Horse Safaris operates from Fort Jameson, which is nestled in the remote enclave off the banks of the mighty Limpopo River.  This ideal getaway provides accommodation in the form of comfortable wooden chalets, each with an en-suite bathroom. Facilities within the camp include a swimming pool, well stocked bar, dining area and lounge. A waterhole offers exciting game viewing from the perimeter of the camp.

Wilderness Safari Camps
These camps offer canvas dome tents, stretchers and sleeping bags, camp fires, paraffin lanterns, bucket showers and hygienic pit latrines.

7 nights / 8 Days Tuli Horse Safari
Season: From March to October.
Restrictions: Children under the age of 16 years old are not permitted, unless they are experienced and competent riders, and the party they are with have reserved the safari exclusively. The children must be accompanied by a parent/ adult with whom the responsibility for the child lies.
