Hello Africa Travel is looking for content creators to join our community of travel scouts.
A travel scout visits Hello Africa Travel listings and tells the story of Hello Africa Travel through the content they create there.
Assignments could include exploring a world heritage site, being part of an experience or joining a multi-day group trip. The travel scout is responsible for providing content that captures the assignment brief. Your content will help to set expectations for travellers who may want to visit in the future.
1. Apply to join – Opt into receiving invites to upcoming assignments.
2. Take Assignments – We will email you invites to assignments close to you. You have complete freedom to decide whether to participate or not.
3. Get Paid – Each time you submit an assignment, you get paid.
Note: This is not a full-time position. Travel Scouts are independent contractors.
You Have Questions? We have Answers
We cannot guarantee how quickly you will hear back about your application (we’re a small team!), but we usually get to all applications within three weeks. We do follow up with all applicants, whether approved or otherwise. If you’re approved, you’ll receive an onboarding email with more details and can claim assignments right away!
As a Travel Scout, you have full control of how much you make! Compensation is based on the assignment that is claimed. There is no maximum for assignments a photographer can claim, though we ask that you only claim as many assignments as they can commit to completing thoughtfully.
We ask that, at minimum, Travel Scouts take content specific to the assignment they’ve booked.
We do not cover any travel expenses at this time. You have to get yourself to the trip's starting point.
All available assignments are sent via email to approved scouts. If you’re an approved content creator, you can claim any of these assignments at any time, and book for a time that works for you.
